Newsrooms and reporters
A map and a feed of what other outlets, emergency services and official data report, to spot developments early and jump to the originals.
What you get
- Alerts grouped by incident: reports of the same event from many outlets become one alert with all its sources listed.
- Atom feeds per city and country and a global feed, and a JSON API with a
sincefilter. - The confidence score shows how many independent outlets and official sources agree.
How to start
- Subscribe to the feed of the city or country you cover, or poll
/api/v1/events?since=.... - Open the source links of an alert and verify with your own reporting before publishing.
Limits
- alerts.live is a lead, not a source to quote as fact. If you reuse data, cite "alerts.live" with the alert page URL and the original source.
- alerts.live is descriptive and informational. It is not an official source, not an emergency service and gives no safety score for any place.
- Alerts are detected automatically in public sources and can be wrong or late. Each one shows its sources and a confidence score so you can judge it; see the methodology.
- Absence of alerts does not mean absence of events. Coverage depends on what public sources publish.

Descriptive, not a safety score. alerts.live counts and maps events reported by public sources. It does not rate how safe a place is. Informational only, not official: follow local authorities.
